Yorkshire Bushcraft Network

Do you have an interest in bushcraft but you are not sure where to practice your skills? Why not come and join us in the woods for our weekend camp. This is not a training course but is a chance to come and spend time round the campfire sharing skills and learning from one and other.

Perhaps you want to make a bow drill set, make cordage from natural fibers, make a spoon or prepare a rabbit for the pot. Whatever your aims, being out in the woods is a good place to start. We will have base camp ready and the brew pot on the boil so bring your tent and some food plus a few plans of your own for the weekend and come and enjoy spending some time in Old Wives Wood.

This is how we envisage the weekend running:

Friday evening, meet at the local pub between 5.30pm and 6pm. Then head to base camp for a guided tour and set up you tents or tarps. Then we will meet to decide what the weekend holds.

Saturday and Sunday are up to you! The possibilities are endless…………………

The event will be held at our usual site in Wharfedale see course location page. Families are welcome. If you would like us to order you some game to prepare for your dinner please let us know when booking. We can usually source rabbits, trout, pigeon and venison. We will also have our library of bushcraft related books available for inspiration.

E-mail Dan( dan@dwwp.co.uk ) or Dave ( djalty@hotmail.com )to book a place on a first come first served basis.
